Healing, Milestones & New Beginnings πŸŒΏπŸ’›

It’s been one week and a few days since my leg surgery, and overall — healing is going really well! 🌿 With the exception of one stubborn little wound that’s taking its sweet time to close (seriously, it’s hanging on like it pays rent). But we’re getting there!

This coming Wednesday morning, I head in for an ultrasound to check on the graft in my left thigh and take a closer look at a deeper vein that was causing issues before. Fingers crossed everything is progressing the way it should! πŸ’ͺ

And now for something a little sweeter…

Thursday marks 11 months for TJ and me — can you believe it?! This relationship has been one of the most unexpected blessings in my life. Honestly, we make each other so incredibly happy. He’s been by my side through everything — the good, the tough, the in-between — and I’ve done the same for him. There's a special post coming to celebrate our milestone, but now I’m already wondering... how do I top this for our 1-year in November? We shall see. 😍

On the creative side of things, I’ve been diving deep into my blog project for The Dever, working hard to wrap its legacy into one meaningful package. And guess what? I finally finished the huge binder I’ve been working on since April! I swear, no better time than the present. πŸ˜‚ I’ll be posting pictures soon of my time at The Dever — don’t worry, I won’t be posting anything embarrassing… probably. Haha!

And big shoutout to Landen, who just got his mid-term grades in — and he is crushing it! πŸ“š We’re just over a month into school, and he’s already on Honor Roll. I am wicked proud of this kid. He continues to challenge himself and grow, and honestly, he inspires me every single day.

Now, to answer a question I’ve been asked at least a thousand times lately:
“Will you ever come back and advocate again?”

Short answer? No — my time is done.
I dedicated 7 amazing years to supporting parents, educators, and students — helping them learn to advocate not just for themselves, but for their communities. It was powerful, meaningful work. And I’ll always be proud of it. But this girl made a promise to herself... and I plan to stick to it. πŸ’–

It’s time for the next journey to begin.

Until next time —
With love, always.
