Life’s Storm

This virus painted with many colors

Beautiful in a fascinated shape

Has became something so insidious

Hurting those around us


It has infected me, to nearing my time

Changed my mind in many ways

Morphed my way of thinking

Changed my feelings

It may have knocked me down

Believing me to surrender

I fought the dangerous battle and won

When most have lost


We’ve fallen hopeless to this

Yet we must conquer with happiness

Drown out the fear

Wave after wave

We all yearn for hope


Is it too late to be this optimistic?

I tell you i’ve faced many tragic downfalls

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow

Moments of hope fade by darkness


This storm we face is only temporary

It will fade away like a memory

Must unite to keep our love and faith strong

We must call on the lord above

To protect and guide us during our darkest


As one we can defeat this

Paint the sky with colors of hope

Breakaway this evil darkness

Live each day beautifully





Unknown World

They say don’t be afraid to try something new

Just embrace with all your might

For each time you try, it could benefit you

To stay or to go is the question?

Each day is a new lesson in life

You must be willing to try

You’ll make plenty of mistakes along the way

Life is about trial and error

You’ll learn from these mistakes

Be kind to those around you

For this they make life complete

Be honest they say

They hold the key to that trust

So dare to dream that dream

In a world so big

Don’t let anyone hold you from your potential

This is your time

Explore the world around you





Stay Little (for a while)

The day you were born, my son

It touched my soul deeply

Your sweet smile, just melted my heart

You were the missing piece

That my heart needed to feel whole


You’re beautiful blue eyes

Stare at me with such an awe

Gazing back at the woman

Who just became your mom


As the days turned into months

As months turned into years

I watched you grow before my eyes

Facing challenges along the way

Fighting each of your fears


Now your growing into a handsome boy

You’ll take your next steps in this world

Those precious years have gone by

I’ll keep those in my heart forever


If you get lost along the way

Or your not sure what to do or say

Just know i’m here present with my arms open

My heart ready and ears to listen

This week, my sweetheart and I celebrated nine months together . Nine months of laughter, late-night talks, growth, patience, and joy. I’ve never felt more connected to someone before.
